what is a position paper?
A position paper is a document that includes:
The topic you are discussing
How the issue affects your country
Your country’s policies with respect to the issue and your country’s justification for these policies
Actions taken by your government and other Member States with regard to the issue
What your country believes should be done to address the issue
What to Write
A typical position paper is one to two pages long and has three paragraphs. The first paragraph includes your topic background; the second paragraph includes your country’s past international action and your country’s position; the third paragraph includes your possible solutions.
